Why dock scheduling? What problem does it solve?
Without time slot booking, trucks arrive all at once at peak times: queues form at the gate, loading bays are overloaded one hour and idle the next, and warehouse staff coordinate by phone and email. The result is demurrage, overtime and unhappy partners.

For each entry purpose you define who can book, how far in advance, whether same-day bookings are allowed and whether a booking may span a break.
Automatic loading time
The slot length is calculated from the vehicle type (van, truck with trailer) or the cargo quantity (minutes per unit), so the calendar reflects real capacity.
Carrier and forwarder access
Partners book with their own user account and enter the vehicle, driver, transport number and customer or supplier. Booking can be public or by invitation only.
Recurring and directional bookings
Weekly recurring bookings can be set up for regular routes, and the loading direction (inbound, outbound) can be tied to bays and entry purposes.
Log, export and statistics
Every booking, change and cancellation is traceable; bookings can be exported to Excel, and weekly or monthly traffic statistics can be requested by email.

What is a time slot management system?
A time slot management system gives vehicles arriving at a site pre-bookable loading time windows. In Teherkapu, the carrier chooses a free slot online, so the warehouse knows in advance when and at which loading bay each vehicle will arrive.
Do carriers need to install an app?
No. Booking works in any browser, on any computer or smartphone, without installation.
How is the loading time calculated?
For each entry purpose you can set a fixed loading time per vehicle type, or minutes per cargo unit. The system then books the required time in 15-minute increments.
What happens if a truck is late or early?
The gatehouse and the warehouse see early or late arrivals, and the vehicle can be admitted, asked to wait or rescheduled depending on available capacity.
